The FiberTrix series is a family of PON MDUs — multi-dwelling units that terminate PON fiber at a building or workspace and deliver Gigabit Ethernet with PoE+ on every port: the FiberTrix-8 for GPON/EPON desktops and small sites, the FiberTrix-24 for 1U FTTB up to XGS-PON.
The FiberTrix-8 runs GPON or EPON on one dual-mode XPON port; the FiberTrix-24 takes a PON SFP — GPON, XG-PON or XGS-PON by the ONU module inserted.
Every Gigabit port supplies IEEE 802.3af/at PoE+ at up to 30 W — cameras, APs and phones power straight off the drop, with a 370 W total budget on the FiberTrix-24.
One PON drop serves a building floor, an office or a desk: 8 ports in a compact desktop unit, 24 in a 1U rackmount rated −30 to +60 °C.
16K MAC addresses, 4,072 VLANs with translation and QinQ, LACP, RSTP and MSTP, static routing and 90 Gbps switching capacity.
ACL filtering on both models — plus DDoS protection and unauthorized-ONU detection on the FiberTrix-8, 802.1X / AAA / RADIUS / TACACS+ on the FiberTrix-24; 802.1p QoS.
OMCI management from the OLT on both models, plus Web, Telnet and CLI locally — and SSH v2 on the FiberTrix-24; dying-gasp alarm on the FiberTrix-8.
Two form factors, one job: terminate the PON and power the site. Each model now has its own catalog page — full specifications, ordering information and datasheet (R01) per model.

Compact desktop MDU: one dual-mode XPON port (GPON Class B+ / EPON PX20+) and eight PoE+ Gigabit ports. 205 × 125 × 28 mm · 0.615 kg · 54 V DC adapter.

1U rackmount MDU: the PON SFP slot runs GPON, XG-PON or XGS-PON by the module inserted — 24 PoE+ ports, 370 W budget, 90 Gbps switching, −30 to +60 °C.
View FiberTrix-24 →One PON drop per floor or riser: the FiberTrix-24 serves 24 powered Gigabit ports to units, offices and building systems from a single 1U box.
Fiber to the office and the desk — eight PoE+ ports at the workspace for IP phones, PCs and wireless APs, on GPON or EPON alike.
Every port supplies PoE+ up to 30 W, so cameras and APs power straight off the fiber drop — no local power supplies to install or maintain.
Each FiberTrix model has its own catalog page with the complete specification table from its official datasheet (R01).
The FiberTrix-8 speaks GPON and EPON in dual mode; the FiberTrix-24 follows its SFP module across GPON, XG-PON and XGS-PON. Both are OMCI-managed and standards-based — ITU-T G.984, G.987 and G.9807.1, IEEE 802.3ah.
The part numbers share the same hardware — the PON mode follows the ONU optical module supplied.
Same job at two scales — the desktop FiberTrix-8 for a workspace or small site, the 1U FiberTrix-24 for a building or cabinet. For a single host device, see the UNT SFP sticks; for outdoor sites, the uOPG800.

A PON MDU (multi-dwelling unit) is a PON terminal that serves many endpoints at one site: it terminates a single fiber drop and delivers Ethernet to a building, floor or workspace. UGrid's FiberTrix MDUs add IEEE 802.3af/at PoE+ on every port, so phones, cameras and access points power straight off the fiber drop.
Choose the FiberTrix-8 for a desk, office or small site: 8 PoE+ ports, dual-mode GPON/EPON, desktop size. Choose the FiberTrix-24 for buildings and cabinets: 24 PoE+ ports with a 370 W budget in a 1U rackmount, GPON today and XG-PON or XGS-PON by swapping the PON SFP module, and a −30 to +60 °C operating range.
The FiberTrix-8 does: its XPON port runs GPON or EPON in dual mode (ITU-T G.984 / IEEE 802.3ah). The FiberTrix-24 runs GPON, XG-PON or XGS-PON according to the ONU optical module in its PON SFP slot.
Any IEEE 802.3af/at device — IP cameras, wireless APs, IP phones — up to 30 W per port. The FiberTrix-24 supplies 370 W in total across its 24 ports; the FiberTrix-8 is fed by a 54 V DC adapter rated up to 130 W.
Both models are standards-based and OMCI-managed for mainstream PON OLTs — GPON and EPON for the FiberTrix-8, GPON, XG-PON and XGS-PON for the FiberTrix-24 — including UGrid's U5 and U8 GPON OLTs and the U10 combo OLT.
